Roman Orphanage
One of our regular beneficiaries, the Roman Orphanage in Bulgaria, has taken its children on a camping holiday with the aid of volunteers and money raised by our readers. We contributed £200 towards the event (which took place in July) and provided forty footballs, which were taken over by Brian Sumpton who has already visited there several times.A couple of the pictures he took are included below, showing the footballs. August 2004
Two of the forty footballs donated by readers of 'Poetic Hours' are shown in use by the children.
Tube Well Project
'Poetic Hours' has donated £100 for another tube well to be set up - our second. These can be set up fairly quickly in villages in Africa and Asia where there is water just below the surface but there is no immediate access to a safe and clean supply.

Christmas Toy Appeal 2004

Once again we aere able to make our usual donation of selection boxes, footballs and make-up to the Christmas Toy Appeal of Family Care. These items join a number of other items - many second hand, that are delivered to children of families in need.
