Autumn Reflections

Russet, golden-brown leaves
Fall from the tall trees,
Pale grey-blue skies,
White clouds,
Low setting sun.

A dog barks,
The nightingale sings,
Animals gather in provisions
For their winter store.

I hear the wind echoing through the trees,
An avalanche of hailstones on my windowpane.
Autumn is a time to be thankful for
Family and friends special people who
Turn a gloomy day into a celebration!

Haiku

Autumn reflections
In the crystal blue water
Window to my heart!

Poetry in a Nutshell

Poetry comes from the heart;
It communicates simple truths
And concepts that are
Difficult to understand.

Accessible to young and old,
To every race and creed,
It is worth its weight in gold,
Bringing help to those in need.
